Timing of Food Consumption, Proper Food
Combining and Weaning the Diet of Harmful Substances is Essential when Eating for Health and
Longevity
(As an aside I have to tell you the rest of the story and how changing your eating habits really
impacts those around you and how they perceive you. Because I only had fruits and veggies in the refrigerator
and my freezer had absolutely no meat in it—it was completely bare, except the ice tray—I am sure my sister
who is two years my senior concluded that Lo had really fallen on hard times because I did not even have one
frozen chicken up top in the freezer. So, the next day I head out to work. When I come home the next evening,
I find the two women have gone out to the grocery store and brought enough groceries to last a week. You
know, kind of to fill up the pantry. In some ways it was hysterical, but it certainly didn’t help my diet
any. I did manage to get them to take most of the foods they purchased back to their house, hopefully without
offending them too much. What this lesson did teach me was that people will be well meaning, but in order to
succeed with my new eating to live plan, I would need to be just a little more disciplined….)
Coincidently, day 28 of the new
commitment for a natural living foods lifestyle also found me 10 days inside my yearly 19-day fast, and I was
doing really well up until the minor “baby back rib” setback.
But now back to the Food and Nutrition Guide, which I
want to share with you. This Guide contains the basic rules of nutritional health that have evolved from
practitioners and pioneers of the Life Science and natural hygiene school of thought. So the Guide is not my own
creation. I have only packaged it to make it more readable and navigational.
The
rules are generally derived from the work, books and writings of the following authors,
including:
- William
Duffy’s Sugar
Blues
- Harvey and Marilyn
Diamond's Fit for
Life series
- John and Mary
McDougall’s The McDougall Plan
- John
Robbins Diet for a New
America
- Norman W. Walker's Fresh Vegetable
Juices and
- The
Life Science Health System curricula text from the College of Life Science
The Guide is built on the foundation
that proper timing, together with proper food combining of various food substances aids the body in its utilization
of nutrients to build and maintain healthy cells. Weaning ourselves from all cooked foods and eliminating meats and
fish are also components of creating the perfect internal environment for health and
longevity.
The use of ingredients and additives, such as vitamins,
artificial sweeteners, caffeine, iron, dairy, calcium and dried fruit are also highlighted and explained in the
Guide.
And if you must cook, the Guide tells you what foods
should never be cooked, and what types of cookware should never be used.
Having said all that, here is your Food
and Nutrition Guide for Recalling Health to the Body. It is noted that some rules are
repeated in several parts of this Guide. This is unavoidable, and the repetition will only contribute to your
retention of the information presented.
Use this Food and Nutrition Guide for Recalling Health to the
Body to begin your journey to building healthy cells to
prevent the incurrence of many chronic dis-eases.
You can start small by simply adding more raw fruits and vegetables to your
current diet and depending on how much benefit you want to achieve from the living foods lifestyle, you can do as I
did and structure a systematic plan to reach your goals.
Keep in mind that food has not always been our enemy, and in its natural, raw
state it actually can be our best friend and material body “savior”. And when you are ready to learn how to prepare
delicious all raw meals, you might pick up a copy of Brenda Cobb’s “Living Foods Lifestyle” which contains many
recipes. I’ve sampled some of these recipes and if I can learn to prepare raw foods like these, then the battle for
a natural raw food lifestyle might truly be winnable.
Your Partner in Health,
Lo
